Xplora – File Manager in your PSP
Xplora is an application in PSP (you can run directly from PSP as a game) to view and manage the file of your Memory Stick in PSP, or we can say a simple File Manager. This is one of useful PSP’s homebrew applications I’ve used. To manage my memory stick file, so to do the common file management activity like Copy, Cut, Paste, Delete, Move, create a new folder or even view and edit a text file, you don’t need connect your PSP (or the memory stick) to computer/laptop, just simply run this application, use the built in controller and do it from PSP.
To use it, just download this application from the link below, extract it then you’ll found a Xplora 1.8 folder. Copy and paste this folder to you PSP memory stick in the location folder : \PSP\GAME\ , restart your device then you’ll found the Xplora Icon between you others game (Memory Stick Game). Hit the X button like commonly you run your game.
So far the minus of this application, the problem of method and layout to input a character when you in text file edit mode. Xplora not using the PSP style input text but it own. I think maybe it can more familiar and easy to use if it can view the Qwerty keyboard like Character layout, or kind like that. But over all this is useful application you must have and test. How to View/Open a PDF File in PSP
As my post before about PSP, that can installed homebrew application. It’s make PSP more powerful gadget ^^ ok, one of great application I’m using is to view/open the Pdf file (Acrobat Reader file). With this app, you can read your favorite E-book (Novel, Comics, Tutorial, Magazine, etc) in Pdf format file. That make PSP look like a Pocket PC, isn’t it? ^^
To Use this homebrew application is so simple. you need to download from the link below, than extract the files. Put the Bookr0.713xx folder to your Memory Stic Duo location : \PSP\GAME\ folder. Then put you all you want read E-book into this location \PSP\GAME\ Bookr0.713xx\books\ . Run your PSP, so you’ll find the Icon between your others PSP game. I suggest you to read the README.txt file before using. Enjoy it!

Resistance: Retribution [US]
This is one of top game title in Playstation 3 (PS3), Sci-Fi Horror First Person Shoot game gender I think. when the first time I saw and play it at my friend home, I my opinion this game not just have a great Graphics, but a lot things, the game play, the sound, and so much more, all of that’s Great! Now the same title come to PSP, with Third Person view (like most Resident Evil series) this mean a different point of view from the PS3. This game got average score 9/10 from www.gamefaqs.com.
Set in the weeks after Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance: Retribution follows the story of former British Marine James Grayson. After a personal tragedy – he is forced to kill his own brother inside a Chimeran conversion center – Grayson goes on a vendetta to destroy every conversion center he can find. PSP Slim Firmware.v5.00 M33-4
A couple months ago, I get my third portable game console. My first one Gameboy Advance SP, I’ve sold it 3 years ago after using for 1 year. My second one, Nintendo Dual Screen LITE (NDS LITE), burn out 5 month ago after using for almost 1 year. Then the third one, I wish this for long lasting forever (I think this like my love story ^^ ) ok, that is PSP Slim with Firmware.v5.00 M33-4.
At the first I don’t really like PSP more than NDS. Think NDS have ton of game than PSP, more fun game, more interactive game input (Dual screen, touch screen, microphone, standard game input, and the built in camera) but PSP only have few game, standard n analog game input, only with the larger LCD screen. Because I did not realize the benefits until I use it at this time.
in fact, each has advantages and disadvantages and continued improvement to more better till now. Now I like PSP because its multi function device, you can play music, view your pictures, watch the movie, connect to internet with built in browser, of course play the game with the higher graphics quality than NDS. But of all, I like the most and is amazed are lot of homebrew application that you could install to your PSP. You can even create your own homebrew application to PSP, for a programmer/software developer like me, this is what I like most ^^ Giving the example, can play the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Gameboy Advance, Nintento 64, PS One games in PSP, because lot of Emulator application in it, and much more.. see, with that you can have ton of play time. I think this is a great compact portable device more than just a game device you ever notice.
Well.. actually much more, but from now, I’ll shared about my using PSP experiences, not just about the game, hope this can be interesting topic to share. For those who still don’t have a PSP, I suggest think for it, to immediate purchase hahahahaha Have a nice day!

Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings (USA)
WOW…..akhirnya setelah lama ditunggu-tunggu (sekitar 6 bulanan) terbit juga game Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings versi USA untuk NDS. Serial Final Fantasy (FF) sendiri merupakan salah satu serial RPG legendaris yang paling sukses dalam sejarah video games. Dan menurut gue kenapa seri FF kali ini begitu special, gue coba kasih 2 pendapat. Pertama karena untuk console NDS, inilah versi original pertama FF yang dibuat secara ekslusif hanya untuk NDS (perbandingan FF sebelumnya di NDS hanya dibuat versi remakenya aja). Yang kedua, system gameplay yang ditawarkan tergolong unik dan masih baru untuk series FF yang pernah beredar di NDS. Sekali lagi WOW…aplaus deh untuk Square Enix. Bagi temen-temen yang punya NDS & ehem….punya super card atau R4, yang da gak sabar penasaran kepengen maen & lagi cari-cari Rom nya (Ehem2 :P. Coba deh cek link dibawah ini.
